Mellen Furnaces

BOX FURNACES

Box Furnaces

All Mellen box furnaces utilize a reinforced, double-walled steel shelf construction that provides a safe, cool exterior. These box furnace designs maintain their shape after repeated thermal cycling. The double pivoting door design safely keeps the "hot face" away from the operator when accessing the chamber.

These furnaces fulfill the needs of innovative R&D, general purpose heating and production line processing.

Mellen offers many sizes, available in six inch increments, in addition to the many standard sizes.

Box Furnaces vary by element type and design. The elements: flat plate, silicon carbide and molydiscilicide have differing temperature capabilities and costs. In order to be more efficient and frugal for its consumers, Mellen recommends choosing the lowest temperature elements that will satisfy your requirements.

MELLEN Box Furnaces are available in three basic models varying by element type.

BF Series temperatures from 1100°C to 1250°C
BS Series temperatures from 1300°C to 1450°C
BD Series temperatures from 1500°C to 1800°C

Mellen Box Furnaces are designed with long life and field replaceable elements in some models. Box furnaces are used for annealing, heat treating and general purpose heating.

Available options include:
Floor Stands
Retorts
Door & Rear Wall Heaters
Sight Ports
Hearth Plates and Shelves
Counterbalanced Vertical Doors
